I really enjoy the dramatic documentary series, hotels secrets and legends... the only problem is, the stories while interesting have VERY little to do with the hotels mentioned in the stories, for example, back when Nixon was president, ELVIS PRESLEY came to the White House to give Nixon a special gift, a Colt 45, and in return, Elvis wanted Nixon to give him a special federal agent narcotics agent in the field badge... amazingly, Nixon agrees, and Elvis can now move around the country touring, with as much drugs as he wants with no accountability to the law... amazing.
The badge can be seen today at Graceland in Memphis, and you can see the commemorative Colt 45 that Elvis gave to Nixon at the Nixon Presidential Library, and as for the letter that Elvis wrote to Nixon, that can be seen at the National Archives.
And the series is full of fascinating historical tales, reminiscent of the audio pod cast. "This American Life" which I also highly recommend.
I'm loving the series, it does tend to lean towards using obvious myths we know to be debunked tales as possible historical fact, but overall, it's a good series.
Enjoy!
