'VooDoo' debuted in Los Angeles on February 17th, 2017, the night of the worst thunderstorm the city had faced in over 10 years. This storm was named "Lucifer".
VooDoo, as most independent pictures, went over budget and over schedule. Due to this, production unintentionally wrapped Hell on April 14th, 2014 which was the same night of the first blood moon total lunar eclipse in years.
Most of the actors in Hell are actual haunted house actors from Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights and The Blackout Experience.
VooDoo was shot on a RED Dragon Prototype 5 months prior to the release of the camera. It is believed that VooDoo was the first film to be shot on that camera.
Months after principal photography wrapped, writer/director Tom Costabile rented a post production office in Agoura Hills, CA where on his move in date he found a voodoo doll sitting up in a paper tray on his door. Nobody at this office building was aware that Tommy was a filmmaker nor had any association with voodoo of any kind.
