In Act III, in the museum area of the Workshop, you will find Harrison from the "Lost Orbit" game by PixelNAUTS studio on display. That studio also did environmental art for "Contrast".
In Act III, in the museum area of the Workshop, you will find a tower that looks like the Lighthouse, which you will go to after the Workshop.
The sixth collectible in Act III, the newspaper article on the box in the lighthouse, describes a strange incident at the Baker Street Theatre, and that Inspector Lestrade of the Scotland Yard is on the case. These are clear references to the Sherlock Holmes mythology.

Goofs
In the shadow puppet theater, Didi makes the suggestion that Dawn floats on an umbrella "like the nanny in that movie". The game is set in the 1920s, but the "Mary Poppins" movie was not made until 1963.

Shadow, But With Good Heart

Contrast is a pretty enjoyable game that has a good perspective on the gangster times using shadows. Sure, it's just a your cheesy gangster story and the game can be glitchy. But it makes up with good graphics, great gameplay style as a player would play as the shadow, puzzles that give the player time to figure out to solve, a fun scavenger to look out for collectibles and learn what we get around the levels, and it does have heart that comes to the right place. This would be a choice for those that are into the gangster genre like the Goodfather franchise, but maybe not to leave your expectations too high for this game. It's obviously not in that kind of level with The Godfather films, but this is a pretty fun puzzle theming for the game to work with.
