The film was shot entirely in a single day due to the weather conditions. Because it was raining, it would have been nearly impossible to recreate the atmosphere on another day.
Two of the three cameramen on this film are Active Duty Army combat cameramen, resulting in extra-realistic shots for a war film.
Post production took 5 months on a film that was shot in a single day because the sound engineer caught the H1N2 flu virus immediately after shooting. The flu caused him to develop pneumonia which caused a collapsed lung and he ended up on a respirator in intensive care. He was in the hospital for almost 4 months. And HE had the cards with the sound files on them.
Reaper was a fan favorite at the Chinese/American Film Festival in 2014.
