Good plot idea on paper but...
...then the creator Howard Overman wants to write and produce his show and all goes downhill from there.
Dialogues are predictably awful
Scenes in Paris were made like the city has no cops no tourists no body living there...just like every time they start shooting nobody notice or what?
They send the two main characters to fight a full well-trained army of terrorists pretty much by themselves...
They're so many holes in this plot that the original idea - that is pretty good - becomes irrelevant to all the amateurish production..
On the only good side...some good fight that makes it OK to call it an action series.
That is probably the only season you'll get
BTW the same creator had another great idea (War of the Worlds remake) but it all went downhill the same way...this guy should really hire someone else to write the stories.
4.5/10.

Paris has fallen asleep
Light fluffy fantasy series
A seeming terrorist group takes over an embassy event. You are thinking "Die Hard." A woman, who later claims to "work in HR," fights back and kills two of the attackers. She is really good. She should have her own show. You are still thinking "Die Hard." The woman, and an Embassy bodyguard, successfully foil the initial attack. The attackers retreat through a hole in the swears just as the police crash through the front door. The police immediately notice our heroine, mainly because she is holding a weapon which was recently fired. So far, so good. Moments later, however, the camera picks up our heroine being treated by a medic, blanket around her. Somehow, in the mere blink of an eye, even though she was holding a weapon when the cavalry arrived, even though she holds no official position in law enforcement, she has already been cleared and released. Now you are thinking "WTF?" I am making this point to show the importance of subliminal cues in a fictional series. You are barely halfway into E01 of the series, and your brain is already screaming, "this makes no sense." And it doesn't. France has produced some incredible TV content (Spirale, Le Bureau) but this is not one of those. This is light, fluffy, fantasy stuff. You may like it. Or you may not. ((Designated "IMDb Top Reviewer." Please check out my list "167+ Nearly-Perfect Movies (with the occasional Anime or TV miniseries) you can/should see again and again (1932 to the present))

Yet another high quality well done show from France
There was a time when European Cinema was for art Lovers Only because it just wasn't up 'to our standards'. Lol
Well , most of what I see out of Europe and that includes some great stuff from Turkey great great stuff from Germany and even better from France in the past 20 years is , far superior to so much of the schlock ground out in North America, with some notable exceptions.
There is enough action I think to satisfy the action folks some really okay acting for those who want some good acting.
The leads are believable not glamorous but except for some exceptional skills seem like real people.

Good plot but
It's a good plot and story line. I like the bad guys organisation and understand why he feels betrayed. Then we have to super agent with something like powers, never get shot or lose agains a wel organisatie soldiers terrorist. They always on the right spot and they can do everything. The woman beat big men with her something like fighting skills(pfff).
It's a good story but to super agent specially the woman that can beat all well trained men. Sad because the villain is good en de story but how they fight by them self two agent against an army, they like the French marv super soldiers. To disappointed.

Paris has fallen ... bien bas.
I was afraid ... and I was right. Good idea, good plot. It could have been another hit in France like Le Bureau des Légendes or Engrenages, but it's not. Tewfik Jallab the lead role is good, Sean Harris the bad guy is, as usual, exceptionally bad (meaning he's damn good), and the rest is ok. And that's about it for the + column.
After 28mn we are given the usual LGBT propaganda message. Well noted but who cares. Dialogues are awful. (Who wrote this ?...) The French president is a woman. Yeah ! She's in love with the young handsome hero. So she's a cougar ? Yeah ! But again, who cares ? The list of inconsistencies is too long, but it gets to you and spoils the show.
And btw, afaik, there is no foreign officers in the foreign legion. Only French officers.

Bad dialogs, not realistic
I found this show entertaining-ish, the story is nothing new, even if action scenes are well produced. However, why on earth are all the dialogs in English... all the Paris cops and secret service speaking fluent English: on what planet do you live? And whenever they speak in French, it sounds quite off. I suspect the dialogs were first written in English then translated. As French viewer, this typical Hollywood (althouth its a British/French production) lack of realism ruined it for me.
The actor who plays the bad guy is really good, however I cant say the same about a good chunk of the cast.

Not realistic
The bad guy is the only good actor. He is very good and is the only reason I watched the 8 episodes.
Other actors are amateurs The handsome and pretty super heroes cannot convince.
The French President role is a farce.
Digital explosions are not realistic too.
The plot is not realistic and naive.
Threatening to activate a nuclear explosion through a cellular network is childish naive.
Authorities would Simply shut down the cellular networks and the treat is GONE, 3 episodes early.
Obviously the producers had serious budget restrictions especially for the last 3 episodes and had to can everything as cheap and fast as possible.

Has Fallen franchise
The British Embassy in Paris is holding a party. Jacob Pearce (Sean Harris) leads a well armed group to infiltrate the gather. Zara Taylor (Ritu Arya) is a MI6 operative. Vincent Taleb (Tewfik Jallab) is protecting the French Minister of Defense. Pearce led a Foreign Legion group in Afghanistan which was captured by the Taliban. He wants revenge for an unspecified conspiracy.
The "Has Fallen" franchise is not to be taken seriously. It is a franchise based on mindless action fun. Somebody is attacked. Something has fallen. It's not a hard concept or a home to smart writing. At least, this show is staying in that general area. It's not smartly written and there is action. It does abandon the concept of a short time period in the movies. The problem starts with the pile of cash. It is straight up Joker. It is non-realistic. That's the moment when I realized what this show is and what's its limitation. It's not to be taken seriously and it works to gin up tension whether it's deserved or not.
