The Backyardigans

This is not the Backyardigans I grew up with, and here's why.

First and foremost, the animation. The animation in this music video series is a massive downgrade from the original show. It is so bad that it makes the Bob the Builder and Thomas & Friends reboots look like cinematic masterpieces.

The character designs. Pablo, Tyrone, and Uniqua look super duper unappealing to look at, especially Tyrone as his head is shaped like a popcorn kernel for some reason. Also, Tasha and Austin are not in this music video series.

Bad timing. This music video series debuted four months after the death of series creator Janice Burgess, which proves to show that Nickelodeon likes to ruin franchises after their creators die.

Overall, I give this The Backyardigans music video series a 0 and an F-. Stick with the original show and not this garbage.
