Oliver von Bodenstein and his colleague Pia Kirchhoff of the CID Hofheim investigate among the high society of the Taunus region: Holocaust survivor David Joshua Goldberg was literally executed in his house. The murderer wrote the number "16145" with the victim's blood on a mirror. During the autopsy, forensic pathologist Henning Kirchhoff finds the remains of a tattoo, like the ones that were common at the "Waffen SS". More murders are committed, using the exact same pattern. Why would anybody kill three old people? And what does the mysterious number mean? Each victim had something to do with the well-known entrepreneurial widow Dr. Vera Kaltensee.
