Netflix dropped the eight episodes of their latest spin-off from their Selling franchise, Selling The City, on January 3, and it's time to discuss if Selling The City season 2 is happening. Season 1 attracted reality show fans and luxurious buyers alike, showing some incredible houses, cast drama, and explosive fights. The unscripted reality series, produced by the same team behind Selling The Oc and Selling Sunset, featured Eleonora Srugo's team at Douglas Elliman in New York. Selling The City season 1 was captivating. The series had ginormous skyscraper houses that cost lots of money.
However, there was also name-dropping of a couple of realtors' famous exes and explosive shootout matches. The first installment of the series introduced the boss lady herself, Eleonora, whose first appearance was in a helicopter, and her group of realtors - mostly female agents selling some of the most deluxe houses in New York. There’s a new reality TV show on the block, Selling the City, and we’re banking on a successful first season for the Netflix show.
We haven’t tuned in yet, but the cast is already making smart business moves, taking advice from none other than Melissa Gorga.
It’s fair to say the brunette beauty knows a thing or two about reality TV success, as The Real Housewives of New Jersey is a fan favorite among the Housewives franchise.
Melissa has been on the show since Season 3 and has been a full-time cast member for over a decade.
Say what you want about the Jersey girl, but don’t call her a gatekeeper because Melissa gave “great advice” to the Netflix rookies when they met.
During a recent interview, some of the women shared exactly what the Rhonj star told them before filming started on their new show.

If there’s a show you’ve been waiting years to return, chances are it’s coming back in 2025. From “Stranger Things” Season 5, which is expected to premiere later this year, to “Severance” Season 2, some of the biggest and buzziest shows on television are expected to make their returns in this new year.
Part of the reason for this big return has to do with the residual effects of the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Those historic Hollywood effects delayed production across the board. While broadcast series were largely able to air new episodes in 2024, prestige streaming and cable shows — which typically take a bit longer to produce on average — needed a bit more time to bounce back.
But bounce back they did. And it’s not just the “White Loti” and “Andors” of the world fans have to look forward to. Do you love procedural classics? New episodes of...

A new real estate reality series will be moving into Netflix right at the top of 2025. The streaming service announced on Dec. 4 that the latest Selling Sunset spinoff, titled Selling the City, makes its premiere on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025. If you have been waiting for more broker drama on your screens, Netflix will be delivering the goods right at the top of the new year.
Like the other two Selling Sunset spinoffs in the franchise, the defunct Selling Tampa and the not-yet-renewed Selling the Oc, the new edition takes place in a new locale in the United States. This time around, the Selling saga is heading up north on the East Coast to New York City, where the Douglas Elliman real estate agents compete over the city's various luxury listings.

The reality series is from the creators of Selling Sunset, but this time, it follows real estate agents in New York City.
“I am a top real estate broker at Douglas Elliman, and I just had one of the biggest years of my career,” Eleonora Srugo says in the preview. “Now, I’m starting my own team.”
The series’ cast also includes Jordyn Taylor, Gisselle Meneses Nunez, Jade Chan, Abigail Godfrey, Justin Tuinstra, Steven Gold, and Taylor Middleton.

Two of Netflix’s top unscripted executives, Damla Dogan and Todd Hurvitz, have exited the streamer, TheWrap has learned.
Dogan, who served as director of unscripted originals, and Hurvitz, who was director for nonfiction series, have both exited Netflix as the streamer shakes up its unscripted strategy, an individual with knowledge told TheWrap.
The news comes less than a year after Jeff Gaspin was named as Netflix’s new vice president of unscripted series in February, taking over from former VP of nonfiction Jenn Levy, who left the streamer in January.
Prior to Netflix, Dogan served as SVP of development and programming at E! Entertainment while Hurvitz, who boarded the streamer in August 2021, worked at production companies including Ipc, Brian Graden Media and Truly Original.
