I don't recall exactly how I got word on this video, all I knew was that Barry Keoghan starred in it and that fact alone was
strong enough for me to see it - specially after seeing another music video appearance of his, with The Original Rudeboys. While this song didn't
appeal to me, the production values and its cinematic style were impressive enough to give some effect, along with the acting from
current couple Barry and Sabrina Carpenter.
Here, they play a criminal couple involved in a series of scenarios, getting in and out of jail or dealing with menacing guys. Great chemistry
from both, as he plays her boytoy who freaking loves being handled by her in several ways. It pays a tribute to countless action films, specially those
title fonts used on Tarantino movies, which are borrowed from 1970's flicks; and it's all done in a meticulous and careful way that puts to shame many
feature films out there. There's romance, action, some humor (when she's getting out jail and she's worried about her makeup and lipstick) and plenty of seduction,
all destined to impress audiences. One can almost envision it as a potential new
version for "The Getaway" with more twists and turns. And honestly, I'd like to see it happening. Just for fun. 7/10.
