I really like this show! I travel a lot, but whenever I get the time to watch, I always find something new and interesting because this is a different type of show. That's why it's called "Raw Travel." I like seeing other nations' cultures from the inside. Different perspectives are what I think must be shown in all travel shows! That's the only way you can understand unfamiliar countries, nations, cities, and people before you even go. Secondly, I want to commend the host...he completely rocks! He's doing incredibly crazy escapades during the show, and that's partly what makes this show so enticing. I've watched lots of different travel shows. Unfortunately, most of them are annoying. You don't want to watch a show only to hear information you can easily "Google" or read about, instead, you need a personal tour-guide with anthropologist expertise! As a traveler, I would recommend watching this show as guide for your future trips; this show should be on your checklist of "things-to-do" before the next big trip. I highly recommend watching this show!

I like that the host shows us a number of places off the normal tourist traps, and sees and does things with locals. But I do get weary of seeing numerous close ups of his face when he has something more interesting in the background. This is ok if he happens to be speaking to us on camera, but often he is not - it is just a pan from below of his chin and nostrils blocking whatever is behind him. I suppose though that this represents the modern selfie culture, which seems to centre on images of the traveller rather than what they are visiting.

No hype, no pandering. Just honest genuine show.

Host is terrific. Doesn't spend the show boozing it up or trying to be pretentiously profound. Hope it's around for many years.

This dope is trying to be Anthony Bourdain. He's the most boring, lame travel guide. Really can't believe they gave this idiot a show. Don't waste your precious time watching this garbage.

I admit to only watching one episode, but one was enough to know I have no interest in viewing another show. The host said "man" (in the "cool dude" way) much too often and asks some really basic questions, dumbing himself (and the show) down. When trying a new-to him food, he made a big deal of it rather than just being open to trying it - or politely declining the food (when it wasn't even that odd of a food: fried fish). He was clearly in a poor part of the world, yet talked about how he's good at bargaining and wondered how well he can bargain at a shop. I thought this was inappropriate when he's there with decent film equipment (obvious he has money and doesn't need to get a super good deal). I typically enjoy travel shows, but this one needs improvement.
