You'd be surprised at the women who lie and convince a man to sign the birth certificate. Come to find out 13 year later my fiancé found out the most important person in his life was not biologically his but he still cares for that child and still gets to see him. But people really do need help especially the men. Yeah it's sad that a person would do that but apparently it's never happened to you and once a man signs a birth certificate he is legally responsible for the child until he gets a DNA test which he has to pay for just because she went with the most financially stable man she knew. You'll find out one day it's not your job to judge the good Lord will judge us all when the time comes. So don't speak about something you don't know.

Just what we need: another court show with a quasi-judge presiding over family dysfunction. A "quasi-judge" is one who functions more like a social worker than a jurist.
We already have enough judge shows where DNA evidence is produced. Who is the genius who thought that we needed one entire show dedicated to DNA evidence? How boring is that?
If you're going to introduce a new judge show, judicial experience, legal expertise, extraordinary intelligence, quick wit, unique personality and charisma need to be part of the package. A pretty face and a JD simply aren't enough.

She has the rare ability to connect with the young parents. In a beautiful way pleads with them to do a good job parenting their babies and get over the impediments they have preventing them from raising their babies in the best way possible. She is a true humanitarian. And a U-M grad. Go blue.
Yes, each episode could be done in 2 minutes since the DNA test is really the only concrete evidence the courts will accept. This show is about the drama leading up to the test results revealed at the end. Judge Lake does a good job navigating the chaotic and dynamic relationships presented on the show.

Between ads for Pay Day loan companies and ambulance chasing lawyers, you can watch Paternity Court. The perfect show for those who sit around in a mumu and curlers while their 8 children run roughshod through the trailer park.
I love this show and I love the judge even more!! I love her no nonsense attitude and how she puts the litigants in their places when need be.
There is just one thing...I NEED the meet ups with the parent and child to be added to the end of the episode again!! Not all of us have a Facebook page. And though I love this show, I dont love it enough to get an unwanted Facebook page.
So please, put the meet ups with the parent and child at the end of the episodes again. Please!!!!!

- judge Lake is wise and respectful
- very moving show
- a show honestly seeking the truth
However:
- do they need to show children's face on national tv?
- DNA glitches can happen, even if rare, they are not impossible.
I really enjoyed this show but to me it seem like Judge Lake is performing more and more ghetto. To me she was the only reality judge that was interesting but now I am moving slowly to something better. This season you are talking and yelling more than ever. All reality stars shows need to stop performing just to make yourself look bad...come on Lauren Lake you can do better...
Feel like most if not all of the episodes are genuine. Keeps me entertained. Find myself watching multiple episodes at once. Glad there's so many I've been watching non stop for a good 2 months and keep finding new episodes.

The show has some great episodes, but the legal advice is not very good.
You can't just "decide" you are going to be a child's father because you "want" to. The other baby daddies may come along and challenge you. You have NO rights to a child if you are not the father unless you adopt the child.
The Judge is great at trying to get everyone to work together, it is inspiring. But it is not realistic.

I really like watching "Lauren Lake's Paternity Court" due to the fact that it was really impressive, entertaining & overall interesting to me especially when I watched episodes of it on my local CW station which is WNUV The CW Baltimore & even on YouTube. What I like the most about this show is that Judge Lauren Lake is a really nice lady whom helps the litigants find out the truth whether or NOT a man is the biological father of children or other litigants & I even love how wise as well as respectful she is. I even love how she reads the DNA test results like this "These results were prepared by DNA diagnostics & they read as follows: In the case of (the litigants' names), when it comes to (the age & name of the child whose paternity is in question), it has been determined by this court. Mr. (The male litigant's last name), you are (or NOT) the father." I can even say that "Lauren Lake's Paternity Court" is one of my favourite court shows that I am NOT ashamed of liking. I also like that Judge Lauren Lake gives helpful advice to the litigants on how to be good parents for the children.

I love this TV show. The judge isn't bias but her words helps to get both sides voice heard, no matter how petty. She educates the ignorant and uplifts the hurting. Some cases are very messy and immature you feel bad for the men treating innocent children so poorly. Even the animal kingdom would help raise and protect a baby that was abandoned but hearing some of the things these men have said to young kids is terrifying. This TV show is a wake up call!!! Don't have children with children!!! Be careful who you lay down with. There is humor and irony in every story. There has been some really good tear jerking moments with stand up men and grandmothers. Long lost siblings or parents reunited. The best part to me is how the men say the women "gets around" but has 3 kids with her or still sleeping with her. It says more about there reputation or character then it does shaming there mothers, especially when they turn out to be the father!!! This TV show is a good birth control method for young men and women as a reality check when sleeping around reproducing with the wrong type of people. Child support, paperwork, saving evidence, dealing with the other person after falling out, family feuds, manipulation, rejection you name it!!!
