Dasavarenya Sri Vijaya Dasaru

My experience of watching Shri Vijayadasaru's film The film is very devotional. After getting stuck in the traffic and somehow escaping to the theater, I felt a chill in my heart after seeing the film. North Karnataka has contributed a lot to Dasa's literature. In addition, we will go to Chikaraparavi Vijayadasa's life history Karpanya Seeing the grace of Lord Purandaradasa and Vedavyasa, we will forget ourselves. I loved the song of Surayaladi Yantrodhara Pranadeva in Tirupati in the song Nindastuti Padakeli. The joy of meeting Sri Prasanna Venkatadas was unforgettable. Hearing the song of Gopi and Kasturi Kannada, I was amazed to see Jugal Bandi. I don't know how the film was completed It was sad to see . It seemed that the promotion of devotion had yet to happen. Looking forward to second part of the movie. Should appreciate Sri Madhuaudhan Havaldhar for meticulously directing movies, with giving attention to greater detail of the era Dasavareyaru has represented. Every movie is inspiring, we come out of movie theater feeling blessed. Movie immerses you in divine bhakti. Now having watched first part we are more eager to watch 2nd part. The actors are awesome, they themselves so deep into the Davarenya part that, they have given themselves to the role.

I missed jaganatha Dasaru, need to find a way to watch movie 🙏🙏🙏

Shri Vijayadasaru was a great saint that India, esp our Kannada people, and madhwa community has seen two centuries ago. He was a realised soul. We are fortunate to be born so close to the time that He lived. His life was phenomenal, divine. When a film is made on His life and works, it should really focus on how pious He was, how realised He was and How God was seen to Him in His everyday sankeertane. One should feel divine and go into a different world while seeing the film.

But in the film, they didn't show properly the divine incident when He got Ankita . The person who portrayed Shri Vedavyasa devaru was not a good choice. He had Tambaku stains on his teeth. There was no divinity and wonder in that very important scene. Our Vijayadasaru saw Shri Vyasarajaru, Shri Vadirajaru, and other gurus along with Purandara dasaru. His devotion to Shri Purandara dasaru was unmatched. He would touch feet of Purandara dasaru saw God in Him. But that devotion towards His guru was not shown properly in the film. All Goddesses playing ladies not chosen properly. They seemed like some Indian television serial actresses.

The people who played well were only young Vijayadasaru, his mother, his young wife, and his wife when he got older. Otherwise only Vijayadasaru songs throughout the film instead of his life incidents that we can learn from.

They didn't finish the story in one part, not did they tell half the story properly in the first part.

All places chosen were good.

Please make films on Dasaru with deep research and devotion so that people get devotion towards Dasaru and learn more about them.

This movie is full of divine music of Haridasas telling the story of Haridasa saint of Karnataka Sri Vijaya dasaru. The story is told in a musical fashion with good cinematography, acting and direction. Music and the devotional compositions of Sri Vijaya dasaru is the highlight of the movie. The song Gopi Geetha is a brilliant piece of ingenuity from the Director and the actors. The song takes the Sanskrit poetry of Bhagavatha sung by Sri Vijaya dasaru and mixes with the Kannada version of the song composed by Sri Prasanna Venkata dasaru. This is a very creative way of imagining history of two great saints. Other songs are also well sung and filmed very well.

Overall a wonderful movie that brings about the devotional lyrics and music of Sri Vijaya dasaru along with the life of Sri Vijaya dasaru. Encourage others to see the movie and learn about the devotional heritage of the saints of Karnataka.

This is the 3rd in the series of movies of Karnataka Haridasa-s by Shri Madhusudan Havaldar and team. This is about great Haridasa saint Shri Vijaya Dasa. The movie covers his childhood, hardships, how he attained his ankita (Guru bestowed Indweller name that's used to contemplate, meditate and write songs), how Lord bestowed His Grace on a child who was never looked upon well by his near and dear, his travel and other aspects.

Songs are the highlight of this movie. It's simply a musical extravaganza. BGM and songs tuned by Shri D. Vijay Krishna is amazing.

All the lead actors performed well. Editing could have been better and the movie could have been packed in about 2 hours. Looking forward to next movie.

Got an opportunity to watch the movie during a premier show in Fremont, California at Cine Lounge theaters amidst bhakti fervor.

It's a must watch for Haridasa premi-s, Kannada sahRudayas and Sanatana Dharmis.
