When Stanley and his wife were attacked at the airport parking garage the men were shown getting out of a Monte Carlo. Then after Stanley's wife was stabbed and he was beaten they showed the guys leaving the scene but now they were in a Cadillac.
When Stan and his wife first see their flat tire in the airport garage, their vehicle appears to be an older blue Ford Explorer. When Stan is knocked against the back of his SUV at the start of the mugging in the airport parking garage, the camera angle should show the muggers' car as seen a moment later, but it doesn't.

The detective locked in the trunk of the car says, "Let me out. I can't breathe." All US cars built beginning several years prior to this film's 2016 release have cables with glow in the dark handles to open the trunk. Also, it is not an "airtight" compartment. When the police are questioning Stanley about the getaway car of the killers he says he heard a 60's muscle car engine. In particular he identifies it as sounding like a hemi engine. He says he is very familiar with those cars and engine sounds because he worked for Chysler plant. In actuality the viewer can see it is a Cutlass Supreme. It's between 1981 to 1988. The cutlass was sold with a stock 3.8 liter V6 and a more expensive option 5 liter. Either one could not be mistaken for the gruff roar of the 7.0 liter 505hp 426 hemi engine especially if you were familiar with those engines as Stanley says he is. The cutlass supreme '80-'88 and the '67 dodge charger could not be mistaken for each other visually even at a quick split second glance with blood in your eyes and while extremely traumatized.
