- Based on the killing of Kings Cross 22 year old sex worker Patsy Malone by a policeman in 1981 and the subsequent ECP women's occupation of Holy Cross Church in Kings Cross red light district in London in 1982 as a response to a rapidly deteriorating situation and escalating tensions with local woman and sex workers and the local police.

Both of them have a laugh together and share their news and are joined by a love of music. Jake a shut down cop off duty who frequently hovers round the ill lit back streets late at night and hassles both of them but particularly Nadina. Blathnaid and Nadina become lost to each other. Blathnaid searches for her. It;s like a fever dream as she searches for her and Jake seems in turmoil in a nearby street. He also seems to be searching for something and then spots Nadina. When Blathnaid manages to find her, the shock of what she sees, i.e Nadina lying dead face down in an alley, devastates her and changes her life forever. Blathnaid joins the women who have locked themselves in the church for sanctuary as well as to protest for safety and justice.
