Gravitas Ventures released this horror film on VOD this week and there's a trailer to go along with it, in case anyone might be interested in seeing this. The Nightmare Gallery is an indie horror film made by filmmaker Gene Blalock, and it's a paranormal thriller that goes down some dark paths. Amber Benson plays a renowned anthropology professor whose life is turned upside-down by the sudden, suspicious disappearance of her star pupil. When a package of paranormal artifacts arrives on her doorstep three years later, she becomes obsessed with this paranormal mystery that threatens her job, marriage, and sanity as she fights to find where this student went. The multi-talented Amber Benson is best recognized as Tara Maclay from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but recently, she is starring in Geek & Sundry’s new show Morganville: The Series and wrote the Calliope Reaper-Jones series for Penguin. Her newest book The Witches of Echo Park is coming out in January 2015. Geek and Sundry is feeling festive, and it is celebrating Halloween with an entire week of spooky programming. The online video channel run by Felicia Day has released the first two episodes of Morganville: The Series, a web adaptation of a series of vampire novels. The Morganville novels, authored by Rachel Caine, follow a young woman named Claire who moves into a town ruled by vampires. The series spans 15 novels, several of which have ended up on the New York Times bestseller list. Geek and Sundry's web series version was first revealed in April, and it is partially funded by a previous Kickstarter campaign launched by Caine. Geek and Sundry is already tackling superheroes, ghosts, and LARPers. Its latest addition to its upcoming content slate adds vampires to that list. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The nerd-friendly YouTube channel run by Felicia Day will distribute Morganville: The Series, a web adaptation of Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampires book series. Morganville Vampires, as the title suggests, takes place in a Texas town controlled by a cult of vampires. Some of the books in the series have reached New York Times' best-seller list, and the series as a whole includes 15 titles and counting.
