All praise to Dorcel for making this quality Old School Adult movie, a romantic drama about female and male chefs falling in love while trying to save a family restaurant. By being story and character-driven for a change, hopefully this will encourage the production of more traditional Adult movies, almost extinct in today's world flooded with gonzo content.
Lumi Ray is a lovely young star cast opposite Nathan Bronson in a story about striving, with the Dorcel production incorporating both Paris and Los Angeles locations. She was studying in Paris when called back home by her dad Tommy Pistol to help out at their family's restaurant, after the death of her mother. Romantic complications and several subplots along the way led to a traditional happy ending.
Canadian director Ricky Greenwood (a/k/a Eric Boisvert) provides an attention to detail and the cooking/restaurant scenes that helps make this play like a real movie, albeit with lengthy XXX interludes featuring Alexis Tae, Katrina Colt and blonde newcomer Rara Knupps. No screenplay credit is listed, but I suspect it's the work of RIcky's favorite collaborator Maddy Burton, and the alternate French-dubbed version plays well, too. Fans will also enjoy various cameos by the likes of all-time favorites Christy Canyon and Kylie Ireland (who did the set design).
