Featured review
Devil's Film released on DVD four scenes from Adult Time's Pure Taboo series, and they are less than scintillating.
The title scene seems inspired by a "people in glass houses" gimmick. It stars Sheena Ryder as a bisexual woman who's just had a violent fight (off-screen) with her lover Lily Lane, and flees to their neighbor's house inhabited by nerdy Ricky Spanish. His set of wall-to-ceiling plate glass windows (no curtains of course) dictate the rest of the scene. She pleads with him for refuge and Lily shows up outside still angry but wanting to make up. Sheena decides on the spot to seduce Ricky and soon we're watching a half hour of them humping away on his living room couch while poor Lily watches outside (she's suddenly the "cuckold" equivalent).
That's the whole scene, utterly pointless. I suppose the "taboo" element is that we watch a character being humiliated.
Faux incest has been done to death but lives on in porn with junk like "Homeschooling".
A very boring set-up goes to great pains to try and set up a situation, but it's way, way too obvious where this is headed. Clarke Kent and his teen stepdaughter Aria Valencia are close-knit and he's raising her via homeschooling. They're studying home economics and following the text book uneventfully, but a lesson deals with planning for marriage, and assigns a pair of classmates to role play as a married couple for 24 hours.
Clarke telegraphs (to the viewer) tht he's a perv, but it takes forever to get to the point. They do household chores and then at bedtime he declares that "we share a bed", and though Aria is reluctant, she agrees and soon it's a gonzo sex scene. Even the ending is stupid. Just another lousy scene directed poorly by Michael Vegas & Siouxsie Q.
Writer Lapis Afterglow really sloughed off this assignment, delivering an asinine situation, poorly developed.
It concerns a couple that's breaking up: Jewelz Blu is blue in the face (and tinted hair of course) at her boyfriend who's been cheating. She's packing to move out, when out of nowhere Tony's cousin Seth Gamble shows up.
The dialogue, which sounds sort of improvised (it's stupid) has Seth eager to exploit the situation -he's often taken Tony's girls when they're discarded by his cuz. But Tony angrily announces he's in love with the girl and trying to win her back, so hands off.
Seth double crosses Tony by horsing around with Jewelz, supposedly visiting to buy their bed and asking to try it out with her. Credibility has disappeared from the scene entirely at this point, with Tony going outside angrily as they make love, and after sex another boring twist.
It's strictly a dumb sex scene, not helped by ugly nonactor Tony who really drags the vignette down.
Remaining segment is "Long Time, No Stalk", previously released i August 2023 on a Pure Taboo DVD titled "Stalk Me". Robby Echo, using his dumb new name Robby Apples, is the stalker of this exceedingly boring "Pure Taboo" segment. It lacks everything necessary to the dramatic premise: no suspense, no pace, no credibility, no nothing.
Opening scene, awkwardly acted by Echo/Apples and damsel in distress Victoria Voxxx is way too explicit and obvious (nullifying suspense) as creepy Robby announces he's just moved into the house next door to VV. She's been stalked by him some time ago and even moved to a new state, but he's followed her and wants to be her "friend". VV is frightened and doesn't know what to do.
She can't get the police to help her, having even failed to get a restraining order in their previous encounters. The vignette is truly uneventful for 15 minutes of filler until he visits with a pizza and manages to be tolerated by her. She offers sex with him in exchange for Robby to move away and never darken her doorstep again.
As is customary for this series, VV drops her character immediately as Robby starts f*cking her on the living room couch (and she's having orgasms like crazy), and half an hour later she gets a facial and the most predictable (and dull ending) to the non-story. A true time-waster, poorly directed by the Anatomik Media team.
