N the 1960s, a new teacher arrives in a village in the interior of Turkey and discovers that there is no school. He mobilizes the residents to build a place for children and the disabled to learn.

1960s Turkey countryside. A newly assigned teacher finds out that the solitary village is missing a school. He gets fond of the village people and especially a disabled man. The teacher helps the village to build a new school and educate the children and the disabled man.

1961, the teacher Mahir from the west is placed to the far east, in a village that doesnt even have a school. Of course, Mahir isnt really pleased about the situation, however, his only condition is: the girls should go to school too. And Aziz ... Aziz is 34 years old, not married and can neither read nor write. He is disabled. But together they build a school. Neither the disability nor poverty, nor the different languages or other cultures are a problem. But then the snow falls and with the fate of the village Aziz, the children and the teacher are left alone ...
