Regrettably, Slovenia has yet to overcome the challenge of actors accustomed to theatrical performances, contributing to overacting in this show. Despite a somewhat acceptable plot, the sluggish pace of the show ends up detracting from it, making you lose interest instead of drawing you deeper into the narrative. Ultimately, it just leaves you looking for something more thrilling to watch. The writing is bad, with random encounters of the characters so unrealistic they border on laughable. Disappointingly, this apparently long-awaited show unintentionally becomes a source of amusement and not the drama it was aiming for. It seems that "Gospod Profesor" remains the only decent show in Slovenian TV (and maybe the first seasons of Ja, chef but that's mostly because its carried by Jurij Zrnec who is probably the best actor we have)
A very slow pace and filled with cliches. In 26 episodes, absolutely nothing happens. The characters are plastic and dumbed down to the point of repulsion. The otherwise relatively capable actors are ruining their reputation in this show, because one cannot understand in one's right mind how and why they have descended into such a scripted shambles and debacle of a TV series. One has the feeling, watching it, that the story cannot and will not get off the ground. As soon as it seems for a moment that it is going to get interesting, it all instantaneously comes crashing back down to earth. I would liken the TV series to a car idling in neutral, revving its engine, for a second finding first gear, then with a horrible clunk, the gearbox screeches and the car is thrown out of gear back into idle. Bad throughout, I do not recommend wasting your time watching this series.
