Glenn Fredly The Movie is a musical biopic that has enormous potential. The themes of this film are family, struggle, peace, and love. Even though this is the true story of Glenn Fredly's journey, the story is to rushed. The drama in the film is too continuous which ultimately makes the story feel messy, if the writing was neat, the emotion would be more pronounced. The dialogue in this film somehow feels less natural, the delivery is also not good. In terms of characterization, it's okay, from a Glenn who is selfish for his goals, to becomes more open-minded. The pacing feels a bit fast, so it's a bit uncomfortable to watch. The cinematography of this film feels like watching a soap opera but in the upper class. The selection of Glenn Fredly songs used are all good as they help explain the story. The choice of actor Marthino Lio actually looks really suitable, but looking at his acting it feels a bit bland, especially during the singing scenes. Overall, this film still doesn't feel well developed.
