During the first day of filming, on the afternoon of Saturday February 19, 2022, the production was blindsided by a rare Snow Squall that produced "White Out" conditions on the Western Beach of Sandy Hook Gateway National Recreation Area. Director Terry Wickham says, "Around 3:30pm or so, I noticed a wall of weather coming towards us from across the bay. There were only three shots left to get at Sandy Hook. Without warning, wind gusts of more than 40mph hit us hard, throwing sand in the air with twirling snow. All at once the entire production team had to scramble to get all our expensive filming equipment safely into vehicles to save everything from getting damaged. This was way more difficult than any normal production day, as everyone had to keep your mouths closed or else sand would go in and the white-out conditions made it grueling to see anything in front of you."
