Based on the true story of co-writer/director/producer Sonia Rolland, making it an autobiographical film, but with character names changed. As such, the real Sonia became Nadia in the film.
Had been in development since at least 2016, when it was meant to be a feature film meant for cinemas, to be produced by Dominique Farrugia for EuropaCorp. Sonia Rolland started to write the script with Emmanuel Poulain-Arnaud and later brought in Fadette Drouard on the advice of her then partner Jalil Lespert.
