"Das Grundgesetz der Tiere" exposes one of the most important moments in German history to ridicule. The Parliamentary Council is portrayed as a divided, misogynistic and incompetent bunch. This contradicts the very constructive work of the Parliamentary Council in all respects. The creators aren't even above presenting the members as Nazis - even though numerous members of the council were persecuted by the Nazis and were in concentration camps. And it's not even particularly funny, the gags don't work and the animation is terrible. Overall, a huge waste of money. If a film deserves to be called "cringe", it's this one.
