This is a film with a message, one that is sorely lacking in the film medium these days (and pretty much has consistently been so). As such, there are some things that are absolutely crucial to the story here & how it is portrayed. Let's look at these:
1. Is the message relevant and important in today's world? YES 2. Is the message readily displayed and clearly portrayed in the movie? YES 3. Does the movie well balance entertainment and inspiration? YES 4. Is the movie denigrating to those who don't agree with the message being portrayed? NO 5. Is God the Center of this movie? YES
I won't talk about the acting, because there's absolutely no point: it's good but these are not professional actors. As a Christian myself, it's absolutely incredible and encouraging to see Christ centered movies like this one prominently played out on movie screens and cable TV systems across America. I know that God will say to those who made this movie, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant". And so I say, "Well done."
