Mason, after wishing to become a Gorgon, turns himself to stone by looking at himself in the mirror. However, this should have been impossible, as Perseus avoided being turned to stone by looking at Medusa (a Gorgon) only in his mirrored shield. A reflection should not be able to turn anyone to stone.
Tripp states that with 3 buttons there could be thousands of combinations but assuming each button is only used once the maximum number of combinations would be 6.
