I was only able to view the trailer but from what I saw it is a heartfelt story that I wanted to learn more about. It is a clever way as it looks like the film was shot documentary style to give more of a feeling of realism and relate-ability to the family who's life was certainly centered around their abducted daughter and when the possibility of not having her around set in, the empty nest syndrome drives the couple apart. I love how resourceful the production was with a low budget and how they made the film work.
I can not wait to see the full feature when it is released publicly. Even though the actors are not well known they have done a great job in the trailer.

This is a good heartfelt movie. The topics and theme covered are all events that happen in reality. This touches on the dangers of complacently. This shows you in real time how quickly life can change in the blink of an eye when you turn your attention away for a brief second or let your guard down. This movie will hold the viewers attention from beginning to end but some concepts are a bit long thats the reason for the 9 of 10. I believe this movie has a book that is also written by the producer that is a good read as well. The movie in my opinion is safe for children above 7/8 because it is tastefully written and executed so that a child can understand the dangers of interacting with strangers.

Vanished is the new film from Dreams Come True Productions, and it is a superb effort from this film group. Vanished tells the powerful and gripping tale of an abduction. It is based on the book of the same title written by Candy J Beard.
Carla and Chris Bennett had the perfect life until the day their seven year old daughter, Kimberly, was abducted in broad daylight, without a trace! All attempts to find her come up empty, leaving the community baffled. Who took young Kimberly and why? Days turn into weeks and weeks into months. Tensions begin to arise between the once happy couple as Chris blames Carla for Kimberly's abduction.
Soon, an old classmate of Carla's will make himself a permanent fixture in her life. Suspense ensues as the viewer wonders is he there to help her pick up the pieces of her shattered life, or does he have plans of his own?
And will Kimberly ever make it home again?
Vanished holds your attention and have a nice pace. It is also nice to see the talented Richard Bryant (from Lifetime's Army Wives) playing the lead. Hopefully we will see more of him in the future.
Thanks to Dreams Come True for a powerful family film that makes us all think and be fortunate for those in our lives.

This movie was very suspenseful and scary that this happens more often than people think. Well written and directed, the adult actors did a great job also, I could feel their compassion and emotions. No matter how much we wish child abduction wouldn't happen, unfortunately it does. It is every parents, grandparents, families, worst nightmare. The young actors in this movie were quite impressive also, it is amazing how well they portrayed their roles in this movie. I wish that this would never happen to anyone ever! All and all a very suspenseful, heart wrenching, well written and directed movie, a must see!

I must say while this is not Dreams Come True Films first production it is the first time we see the amazing talents of Candy and her son Daniel as a team as their first production which they did in 2011 was done by outside help before Daniel became involved.
This is a film that will have you guessing until the very end and keep you on the edge of your seat as it is full of twists and turns.
I have heard through the grapevine that Dreams Come True Films may finally be getting distribution for all their films after all these years. It's got to be incredibly challenging and frustrating competing with Hollywood so I pray their dreams will become a reality soon. As a big fan, it would be fantastic to turn on Tubi one day and see these films as they deserve a much wider audience than they have had. They truly deserve to have these movies seen worldwide not just at local screenings and local premieres.
You will not be disappointed if you watch Vanished. You will definitely need a box of tissues handy as the performance of Caitlin Smith is a real tear jerker.
This movie is definitely a must see and I can see why it has won multiple awards including best thriller, best writing and best lead actress for Caitlin Smith who portrays the grieving mom.

Vanished tells the all to real story of a child abduction. It is based on the book written by the films director, Candy J. Beard
Candy and her team are the hardest working folks out there. I had the privilege of being an extra on this film. It was my first experience being on/in a film set and I had no idea how much blood, sweat and tears go into it. Candy and her editor are very dedicated to their work, they are a couple of perfectionists and it shows in this film!
This film is a nail biter and keeps your attention all the way to the end. The music is beautifully produced and not over powering, The entire cast are outstanding from the extras to the main characters. If you haven't yet seen this film, what are you waiting for? Add it to your watch list or, better yet, get over there and watch it now, it's a must see!

This is a great movie that is family friendly and oriented. From the very beginning it gets your attention and the story behind it keeps your attention. I believe that this movie needs to be seen a theater. It brings awareness to children being abducted.
I love the way that the actors and DCTF portray this brings awareness to the abduction of children. I am happy to say I have a copy of Vanished in my personal library.
I believe that it should be released to the theaters so more people can see it. All the actors did an excellent job and love that God was included in this movie.
Vanished should be in theaters.

This movie was more than I possibly imagined. At the time I watched this I had not ever viewed a Christian based movie. I was in for such a surprise when I watched this. All of the movies from DCT films come with a lesson to be learned in them. This one really surprised me had a great storyline going for it. Makes you sit back and wonder, who do you trust and who do you not trust? The acting in this movie was pretty good. I thought the storyline was fabulous and again the cliffhanger ending was the greatest. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and never even paused for a potty break. I'd give this one a thumbs up for sure.

My grandma said there is no greater loss than that of a child. Every child is the best of you. With them, goes the best of you.
My mom said nothing tests a marriage like the loss of a child. In a healthy marriage, they turn to each other. Together, we will see each through this.
This film explores both when a couple's daughter is kidnapped. Will they cling to one another for comfort or allow this to drive them apart.
Can they keep the hope alive?
This is a low budget indie film from a Christian family. They prove time and time again that you don't need Hollywood to tell a gripping and heart wrenching story.

It's a parents worse fear. Very emotional and will have you definitely watching out for your children and grandkids. Must see
I don't usually go in for thrillers when choosing movies, but I live in Terre Haute where this film was made, so I started following this production team. Also, I was intrigued by the topic: child abduction. They held a screening at the historic Indiana Theatre in 2017 that was open to the public, so I went.
For a tiny independent production company, these guys did a phenomenal job telling a story about every mother's worst nightmare. In this story, a mother makes a small mistake by turning her back for a few minutes and boom; someone grabs her young daughter (in broad daylight)! What happens next gives you chills! I have goosebumps just writing this review!
The acting from the lead actors was great. The cinematography was excellent. The music was intense where it needed to be intense and the writing was realistic. It's not Hollywood, but then again, I don't care for much of what comes out of Hollywood. I like to support the underdogs so I'm rooting for this mother and son team of filmmakers. See this film!

I just watched Vanished on Prime Video. I don't usually "Get into" many movies but wow! Once I started watching it, I could not stop!! It was so great; my goodness, awesome job Candy Beard and your team. Unfortunately, I can see how a tragedy such as a child being kidnapped can lead to the destruction of a family. This is truly an amazing movie that will touch your heart and soul. It reminds us that GOD is vital in our lives as we face difficulties and HE works all things out for those who love and will trust Him.
I loved the ending .... What a plot twist!! I also loved Richard Bryant in this family drama. He was fantastic as Pvt. Jeremy Sherwood in ARMY WIVES and now to see him as a husband and a father in Vanished made me so happy! He did such a great job as Chris Bennett, the grieving father. When he cried, I cried with him. I give this amazing film two thumbs up because it is a MUST SEE!!! Don't miss your chance.

WOW, another fantastic movie by Dreams Come True Films. This one, like the other two we have seen is streaming on Amazon Prime. It tells the scary and very real story of parents struggling to put one foot in front of the other on a daily basis after their little girl Kimberly is taken by a stranger in broad daylight when she is at a garage sale with her mother Carla, played absolutely brilliantly by award winning actress (Caitlin Smith). This woman can act! There is one particular scene when she is lying in a hospital bed and has a complete meltdown. Even this old Marine got a little teary eyed at this point. Her acting was that powerful and believable.
All of the lead actors did a terrific job. The cinematography and the directing were wonderful. The writing was brilliant. The scores were great, as with their other films we saw (also on Prime Video). Folks, there is a very real danger out there in the world today. I suppose it has always been out there, but it is made so much worse today with social media and all the technology available to criminals and deviants. The message of this story is to keep a close eye on your children and grandchildren at all times, for they can be snatched away from you in a matter of seconds and your world will forever be turned upside down.

This story is so heart-wrenching. To have a child kidnapped and not know where they are. I can't even begin to imagine what a mother would feel. The director, writer and producer really made you feel you are right there with the parents. I have every movie and book this writer has ever made. And this one doesn't disappoint. The writer always gets to the point and keeps you wanting more. I hope parents see this movie and let them know that there are other parents out there who are going do the same thing. I have eight grandchildren and I cannot be even begin to imagine what it feels like if one of them would be taken.

Recently I was scrolling Prime Video and discovered a few movies by the same production company so I made a weekend of it. This one, much like the first one I watched was a dramatic film. I needed tissues for both, as I am a real softie, but I love a great story and I like having my emotions tested and my heartstrings pulled. So I knew going into this, from watching the trailer that it was about a young girl being abducted. I knew it might be tough to watch, as I raised children and have grandchildren. So yes, it was tough to watch at times, simply because I had to imagine what I and my loved ones would feel if this were to happen in our own family and it was a devastating feeling.
I was pleasantly surprised to see an actor in this independent film that used to be in one of my favorite television shows (Army Wives on Lifetime). If you ever watched Army Wives, you cannot forget Private Jeremy Sherwood (his mom was Denise). I was devastated when Jeremy was killed off. But, surprise, surprise he was now in Vanished and playing the role of the grieving father of the missing child, and boy did he do a fantastic job playing a grieving father. The writing and acting were extremely realistic. The directing and the camera work were fantastic. The music was beautiful in all the right places. I happily recommend this film. Trust me, it doesn't feel like an independent film. You will enjoy it!
