On July 18, 1996, a fellow inmate named Walter Johnson punched Gotti in the prison recreation room, leaving him bruised and bleeding, because according to New York's Daily News, Gotti had disrespected him with a racial slur. Gotti, desiring revenge, offered Aryan Brotherhood chieftains David Sahakian and Michael McElhiney somewhere between $40,000 and $400,000 to have Johnson killed. In August, McElhiney told two Brotherhood underlings to kill Johnson "if given the opportunity," according to a federal indictment charging him and 39 other gang members with murder, attempted murder and racketeering. Johnson, however, was transferred to the Supermax prison in Florence, Colorado.

Fresh take if you know the stor

As a Mafia obsessive who has read over 100 books on the subject, watched numerous documentaries and listened to the majority podcasts, I was expecting the same old stories.

There's new footage from the FBI that I've never seen before so that was refreshing and the yin and Yang story of Good v Bad from both sides is edited very well.

The cuts are in keeping with the era of the 90s MTV styling, it's my era so I love the nostalgia.

As many books as I've read, the respect for each other is always there and especially to hear it from the horses mouth from one to another will baffle the casual True Crime enthusiast but they both see it as a job. Bad Guy does bad things. Good Guy sets out to capture bad guy.

Brilliant.
