I can't say I loved it but yes I did indeed like it mainly coz the character Sunhi has some charcteristic trait similar to me like how she is reserved,ambitious but hesitant, how she is calm at one sec and gets all worked up at the next,how all she wanna do is find herself and don't mind being alone and loves being away from the crowd....and i hated the character as how i hate myself for having these similar traits😂
Other than that I shouldn't lie and honestly say that it's not engaging throughout....but I still won't say that it's boring.....
It's peaceful,calm and realistic
This is the third movie of Hong Sangsoo that I've watched and I am not a cinephile or a person who understands everything in a movie.
Still I want to say that even after going through the same style of HongSangsoo still again I don't feel disappointed.
He does again what he did in the other 2 movies of his I watched
The movie character is once again someone related to films.
Soju,chicken and cigerettes(sometimes beer) are a must in his movies and in character conversations.
Limited shots mostly long single shots
Zooming in and zooming out
Doesn't higlight scenes with back ground scores that you would actually see highlighted in most of the other films instead opts for silence or location sounds....which some may feel boring yet to me it's realistic and when there is something playing in the background it's usually a nice and small set piece of a musical instrument if I remember correctly.
Give it a go if you are extremely patient or has come across to like HongSangsoo's works.
