A self-employed roadside bookseller in Kolkata fights dwindling sales, cruel rejection from customers, a renowned fancy bookstore's omnipresence, and his daughter's betrayal, alone. It sends him into a self-destructive spiral that eats away his sanity from within, like a termite. There was a time when small businesses thrived alongside the corporates; when the content of the books mattered, not the glossiness of the pages. But now, it is a fight for survival.
