Sci-fi horror isn't my usual genre, and I'm generally critical of arthouse films that use blood and gore just for shock value. Una Volta, however, defies these conventions. It's subtle, refined, smart, and expressive without relying on hyperbole. This short film revolves around the perception of time, taking the story to a new dimension. Its edge-of-your-seat storyline and curiosity-invoking plot make it feel like a full-length cinematic experience-in the best way possible. Do strongly recommend having multiple viewings, back-to-back in order to catch all the wits, not just una volta.. atlov anu tsuj ton.
