Actress Ameesha Patel has been a busy bee off late. Not only has she started her own production company, she has also been busy working on her first film as a producer ‘Desi Magic’.

Desi Magic is the first film from Ameesha Patel productions. It stars Ameesha in a double role and also features actor Zayed Khan who makes his come back with the film.

The first teaser of the film released this week and it looks extremely fresh, as it features a vibrant looking Ameesha who looks exactly the way she did during her Bollywood debut in Kaho Na Pyar Hai.

Ameesha Patel Productions maiden venture Desi Magic produced by none other than actor turned entrepreneur Ameesha Patel and her business partner Kuunal Goomer is all set to release on May 26, 2014 this summer.

The film’s final schedule is all set to take off in Europe in the month of February after which the post production will begin.

The movie is a complete family entertainer targeting all age groups this summer. The movie is directed by Mehul Atha and the music is by none other than DJ Aqeel who turns music director with this film.

The beautiful locales of Europe that have never been explored before will be breathtakingly refreshing to see in this film.

Ameesha Patel Productions maiden venture Desi Magic’s shoot is running in full swing, directed by Mehul Atha. The principle cast – Ameesha Patel, Zayed Khan and Sahil Shroff are currently shooting in Patiala, one of the Heritage cities of India.

Ameesha on the sets, “The city is beautiful and an important part of our film. The people are very warm and welcomed us with open arms. I play a Punjabi kudi in the film and the role that I am essaying is something that I have never played before on screen. Shooting here has been a wonderful experience which I will cherish forever.” Taking extra special care for her clothes, Ameesha confessed, “I love the Patiala salwars that are worn here. Most of my costumes have a lot of Patiala salwars with a lot of Phulkari work on the kurta, bringing out the textile richness of Punjab.”

Mumbai, Sep 10: Actress-producer Ameesha Patel, who has wrapped up the first schedule of her debut production venture "Desi Magic", reveals that the second schedule will begin in Patiala.

"The first schedule of 'Desi Magic' has been finished and now within two days we will be leaving for Patiala for a 15-day shoot of the film," Ameesha told reporters here Monday during a Ganpati puja.

"Desi Magic" is being directed by Mehul Atha and features Ameesha in a double role. Slated to release next year, it also features Zayed Khan and Lilette Dubey.

Mumbai, Aug 14: Ameesha Patel's first production venture "Desi Magic" has gone on floors and the actress looks at her maiden project in the same way as a mother would look at her 'new born baby'.

"I feel like a mother who is creating this new born baby in 'Desi Magic'," the actress said on the sidelines of a photo shoot for a magazine.

"I am seeing it taking its (baby) steps, learning to crawl, learning to walk, having its falls while learning to walk and coming through each hurdle. And now with 'Desi Magic' going on floors, I feel I have sent my kid to school. I just want it to graduate with flying colours."
