Trivia
Despite being a prequel to A Dog Named Christmas (2009) focusing on Bruce Greenwood's character from that film as a child, there are no cast & crew in common between the two films.

Goofs
Tucker, the star of the movie, is first shown to be a Golden Retriever. In some scenes, they use a Yellow Labrador Retriever, which is similar but with shorter hair and a few other minor physical differences. In the most common publicity photo Used, the dog shown is a Yellow Labrador Retriever and has obviously Been photo shopped in.

A very nice story.

Hallmark really should go back and look at its movies that it made 5-10 years ago because it's movies like this that I remember forever, not the ones they are mass producing now. This was such a sweet story. Sweet dog movies always make me cry and this one was no exception. I didn't realize until I finished that it was written by the same person who wrote A Dog Named Christmas. I enjoyed both, but I think I liked this one a little better. The young boy who played George was very likable and his connection to Tucker made the story great. James Brolin does a great job with his character as well. Actually, I really enjoyed all the characters. I don't like giving spoilers, so I won't say anything about the storyline. I will say that if you love dogs and a sweet story, this is one for you. It's going on my list of favorites, even if it makes me cry every time.
