If you're born in the 2000s, you will understand half of it. If you're not from USSR/Russia, you will understand nothing of it.

Everything that is happening in this, has very deep roots and meanings but the authors didn't even bother to explain anything. They just did this film, these series. And it's up to the intellectual potential of people to grasp, or to simply dismiss, superficially calling it "just another gopnik story".

Meanwhile this, is the story of two of the most important generations of people. Those parents/broken families and their children. Today in their 60s and 40s, rebuilding back an entire country, from nothing, from rubble and dirt to an economical wonder that will reach its almost full potential in the next ten years... Their kids will complete it.... From a videosalon chair to the creation of entirely new industries.
