Months after Esther left the group, we see how the other ladies have adjusted to life under Ruth's guidance. Meanwhile, Inspector Dan redoubles his efforts to apprehend Cain.

The discovery of Manu's body turns Rachel's life upside down and brings her and Musa closer together in grief resulting in Inspector Dan getting assigned the case. Meanwhile, Deborah becomes entangled in an elaborate con that creates tension between her and Ruth.

Ruth, Deborah and Hope are interrogated by the police who are getting closer to the truth. After an attempt to undermine Cain's operations goes south, Inspector Dan convinces Jonah to undertake a high risk move that puts himself at great risk.

Dealing with the emotional toll of what he did to Jonah, Cain begins to unravel in a way that will have an effect on his operations as well as Ruth's future in his organization. Meanwhile, Hope's domestic situation becomes untenable as her husband urges her to leave the church group.

The conflict between Cain and Dan finally reaches its bloody climax. In the aftermath of Hope's arrest, she is confronted with the terrifying prospect of being the primary suspect in the biggest crime story to hit the neighbourhood. Meanwhile, Musa's relationship with Ruth reaches an irreversible turning point.
