Clinic on killing interest in a single episode

Regardless of the how, when, where or why of this episodes concept and development - I found the content uninteresting, and really discovered my reliance on the Main Character for interest in the show.

I think I knew this in season 1, but because Juliette is always present, and show motivations all come back to her, I really enjoyed the first season.

I also enjoyed the 1st episode season 2 - but this 2nd episode is so removed from what I like about the show? It's a deal breaker!

Second season suddenly feels dependent on anticipation of somewhat predictable future event.

I know how opinionated this take on episode 2 is - but I really think the producers, writers overvalued surrounding characters interest without the MC directly present.
