I am a huge fan of the Great British baking show. I have watched every season several times, including the holiday specials.
The newer American version has the same quality as the British version this one does not.
I don't know if they were going for a different vibe but I have never found any contestants on The British version to be as nasty as a couple of the people on this one season. The salesperson in particular. He was just playing nasty and unlikable.
Again I don't know if they were going for a different vibe or if it's just because it's tacky Americans instead of the Brits but this unfortunately is not the joy to watch that the other versions are.
Again I can see why it only lasted one season. Jeff foxworthy is wonderful as the host. But no one can save the disappointed looks on the contestants faces when other contestants did well and they didn't. Some very selfish contestants that soured it for me. Others were wonderful and I was cheering for them.
I would not recommend this to others.
