Death was conceptualized in April 2022. Most indie films use a run-and-gun approach, with little focus on set design or color theory. During 2022, Anmol Mishra rented an old house where he lived and also designed a film set. The scenes involve extensive planning with lighting, various props and use of color theory in setting the mood. As such, the Set/Art Design took longer than the script and casting. The script was written 3 times, first during planning, then during the filming, and finally at the editing stage. Various movies by David Lynch were the inspiration for this psychological horror.
