Finally something that steers clear of brainless "dating show" tropes and gets real about the lived human experience of looking for love in the 21st century. Authentic, honest, moving, hilarious, sexy and above all entertaining . And you can't help but fall in love with each of the four swipers. Kesun, Ashley, Reagan and Kris - their budding friendship is the beating heart at the center of the show. It is their bravery, their willingness to let down their guards and be seen, their love, cheerleading and support for one another that truly sets "Swiping America" apart from the pack. Highly Recommend!!

Don't go into this thinking that it's going to be your typical dating show. Although it has the characteristics of any kind of dating show, you would think of....this isn't it. It's better. There's great twists and turns, the cast is some of the best pairings I've seen in a while due to their chemistry. They all have unique stories and intertwine with each other so well. Need i mention the diversity and queerness of the show is just superb. Getting to know each of the cast members regardless of the dating show was one of my favorite aspects. The whole rom doc was really unexpected and it left me wanting more docs like this. And I hope there is more to come. If you go into this with fresh eyes, I promise you will absolutely love every second of it like me.

Like a first date I was pleasantly surprised, these were people looking for a partner in life and it showed. I am not a fan of reality tv because it all seems so shallow and pointless or unnecessarily cruel to get ratings so I stick with only reality tv about travel, food or renovations but I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know four very different New Yorkers who wanted the same thing, love. I have been both entertained and charmed by their stories after only the first two episodes and I will watch the rest of the episodes and hope that they will all find that person that fills their lives with joy.
