While hanging out, Teo Celigo told Kevin Greene that he needed to be more like trail mix because he worked too much. Celigo stressed that Greene needed more elements in his life. Greene thought it was such a funny comment that he decided to write the show about it.
The part of Gloria was offered to two different actresses, both of them turned it down due to the vulgarity of the part. Eventually, Stephanie Giles came in to read for the part and was ultimately cast because of her ability to "bring the crazy" to the part.
The majority of the clothes that Teo Celigo wears in the film are actually Kevin Greene's. This was due to two different facts: 1. Greene thought it would be funny for Blazer to wear all of Ellis's clothes, and 2. because Celigo's clothes collection was pretty limited.
