After tracking a killer to his apartment, Beckett steps on a bomb trigger and must stand in place while the bomb squad finds a way to defuse it. Castle stays with her, and they argue over who liked who first, via flashbacks.

The latest murder is easily linked to several others in and outside New york state, 'revenge' for the recently released killer's trial. Alas, instead of him, in his home team Castle finds a bomb, armed. Even the bomb squad doubts if Becket can be safely removed from the pressure plate. While they work to disarm it, Castle keeps her spirits high by bantering over the cheeky history of their budding relationship.—KGF Vissers

Beckett finds herself in a dire predicament when she accidentally steps on a bomb concealed in the floor of a crime scene. As the rest of the team scrambles to retrieve the deactivation code, Castle stays with Beckett and attempts to distract her by insisting that she was attracted to him from the very beginning.
