- Marty Chance, a weary hitman, struggles to maintain his moral code when faced with the opportunity for a comfortable retirement. Which leads to consequences that force him to confront his choices and the world he's immersed in.
- Marty Chance (Craig DeLuz) is a seasoned hitman who has grown disillusioned with his line of work. He has developed a personal code that limits his targets to truly despicable individuals, allowing him to justify his actions. However, he's reached a point where he wants to leave the profession behind and start a new life. Marty shares his desire for retirement with his love interest, Sky (Cree Armstead), explaining that he's had a realization and wants to quit. Nevertheless, he decides to take on a few more jobs to amass enough money for a comfortable retirement. Things take a turn when Marty accepts a contract that involves eliminating a particular target, who also happens to be an exceptional bartender. Marty, unable to bring himself to end the life of someone he admires professionally, decides to spare the bartender's life, disregarding the job he was paid to do. Unfortunately, Marty's decision has unintended consequences. His failure to complete the hit draws the attention of Horace (Ego Mikitas) the bookie who hired him to complete the hit. Caught in a web of lies and unable to offer a satisfactory explanation, Marty finds himself on the wrong side of his former ally. Now faced with the repercussions of his actions, Marty must confront his own moral choices and the consequences they've brought upon himself and those he cares about. Marty realizes that leaving the hitman life behind may not be as simple as he initially thought.—Ron Henslee
