The Official JoBlo Originals’ Live Stream, Friday Night Flicks with Kier Gomes, is back, and guess what? Now that Halloween’s over and done with, everyone is going to start looking forward to Christmas. Annnnnnndddd – you know what that means? It’s time to watch Die Hard! Indeed, everyone agrees now that Die Hard is probably the greatest Christmas movie of all time (take that It’s A Wonderful Life!), but what about the sequels? In this special episode of our Live Stream, Kier welcomes Taylor James Johnson, the voice behind What Happened to this Celebrity for a deep dive into Die Hard as a franchise, with them ranking the series from worst (ahem – A Good Day to Die Hard), to best (which should be a no-brainer methinks).

A few days ago, on our JoBlo Live Stream, Friday Night Flicks, our host Kier Gomes listed his favorite movies of the Summer of 2024. You can watch his pickss via the embedded video above, but we wanted to get Your take on what the best movie of the summer was. Certainly, Deadpool & Wolverine, along with Inside Out 2 were the two biggest box office champs of the summer, but movies like Longlegs, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, and a few others also got tons of love from audiences. And then, of course, there were the box office flops like Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Horizon: Chapter 1, which were still quite good and deserve some love. So take the poll and let us know!

The concept of the quarantine movie was actually one of the newest trends during the two years the pandemic raged around the world, with a number of filmmakers turning to these social-distancing measures in order to present their new works. It seems, however, that we are not completely done with the particular approach, as still some movies that were shot during lockdown are coming out while others implement the style in different, more diverse styles. Whether it belongs in the first or the second category, “Livestream” definitely has some elements that make it stand out.
