The film exhibits a blend of outdated and silly elements alongside some newer, yet equally nonsensical additions to its storyline. The screenplay is marred by an abundance of illogical absurdities, while the dialogue delivery induces cringe-worthy moments. The director's approach can be likened to an updated version of himself.
Regrettably, all the actors, be it the main leads, supporting cast, or even the background performers, seem to have indulged in excessive overacting, pushing the boundaries of believability. The fight sequences and action scenes suffer from an excessive and gratuitous display of violence.
Ram manages to impress in one look but falls short of expectations in another. Both Sri Leela and Saiee Manjrekar look average.
On a positive note, the dance sequences featuring Ram and Leela are a highlight of the film. The production quality, cinematography, and background music exhibit commendable craftsmanship, but the songs fail to meet the same standard.
This movie may appeal to those who are willing to overlook its shortcomings, but it's not recommended for viewers seeking a more discerning cinematic experience.

Skanda is a film directed by Boyapati Sreenu, starring, Ram Pothineni, Sreeleela, Saiee Manjarekar, and others. As the movie is directed by lord Boya, who is a genre himself. The film is a typical early 2000s flick where you can expect many action sequences massy songs, intros etc. To be honest, I liked this film, as I didnt expect much and kept my logical thinking aside. Those who do the same will receive the same output.
Plot is all about drama and action, the story starts with arrest of an industrialist ( Srikanth) accused of killing, betrayal. In the process to get him out from it and prove him innocent the actual story starts. The screenplay , editing , production values were good and worked out for me. Ram as the protagonist rocked it, his dedication and the hard work was truly seen, actress sreeleela, creating sensation in TFI, managed well yet, didn't match the vibe, and talking about others, they're the regular boya defined characters, esp. The antagonists, it felt as if watching a process to kill rather than showing their true powers as suited or allotted to them in the movie.
The songs except 1 doesn't hold the energy and makes the screenplay dull. The exhausted bgm by Thaman produces nothing but noise. Increasing the sond of a track\ score cant be called as a bgm.
Watching the visuals and fights are enough to entertain. Entertainment will definitely be delivered and the 'Mass' will be maintained throughout the movie.
The 1st half was thrilling and fiery, but the moment you enter the 2nd half, you'll be witnessing the routine emotional melodrama with some messages.
Therefore, watching the visuals and fights are enough to get energized.
Verdict As said by the team, its only for the cults, truly a massy ride, the only reason to watch this is RAPO, done playing the roles of cool, cute, etc for a decade, now he has decided to play the roles which portrays him as massy, fiery and it truly suited him. Boyapati's work can be praised this time too.

"Skanda," directed by Boyapati Srinu, who previously helmed the successful "Akhanda" with Balayya Babu, falls short of expectations. The film follows a routine Telugu storyline, offering nothing fresh or innovative.
One of the film's glaring flaws is its songs and their placements, which are poorly executed, significantly contributing to its downfall. The music by Thaman, known for his high DJ sounds, disappoints once again.
Ram Pothineni does his best in the hero role, especially in portraying a rugged character, but the lack of a compelling storyline and supporting elements hinders his performance.
Sree Leela's presence in the film seems unnecessary, as there's no clear reason for her character's inclusion.
The first half of the movie is relatively better than the second half, which struggles to maintain the audience's interest.
The film hints at a sequel, but given the quality of this installment, it's safe to say that we don't need a "Skanda 2."
The action sequences lack the over-the-top physics typical of Boyapati's older films, which may disappoint fans of his style.
If you're still interested in watching "Skanda," it might be a better choice to do so through an OTT platform, as it fails to live up to the standards set by Boyapati's previous work in "Akhanda."

Seriously director is bit educated may be. Just earlier very late movies have bit realistic or good... this is entirely director imaginary fantasy movie bluffed CM positions 🤣🤣.
What a movie ..what a director.. please don't show this movie as blockbuster and to other states and region's... i love telugu and Telugu people.. don't want criticism or make fun of them...
Seriously did this film is a hit. Why to choose this kind of comedy, fantasy content which cannot be related in any way.
Thousands of guns ,bullets cannot harm single person. Where a person can defeat entire battalion, forces every thing... please educated directors don't make fun of us ...

The director, seemingly stuck in the year 2000, has left me feeling fortunate that I watched this movie on OTT. Now, I can't help but sympathize with those who endured it on the big screen. Each actor appeared to have surpassed the boundaries of overacting, and the plot made no sense whatsoever. Similarly, the director's previous work, "Akhanda," fell into the same unfortunate category, but it managed to ride the coattails of a prevailing trend. It's high time the director and Ram reconsider the stories they choose to pursue. Im truly disheartened, but I have hope that Ram will make a triumphant return to the silver screen with a new movie."

Sir 10/1 of your movies are good and remaining all the movies are of just torture movies. When you are making some high budget action movies, kindly make a movie which is slightly realistic, natural and interesting movies rather than just killing and killing n killing. "Common man can go and attack chief ministers and their family members and one man can hit 100", Sir you are crossing RGV in making public torture movies since sometime. Actor Ram your face and physic suits much better for a family and romantic movies, once here n there experiment movies are fine but make yourself a action hero.
I am dissapointed actually..What i liked about this movie is emotional scenes, bgm and mass dialogues..What i dont like is too much gory violence not suitable for family audience, stretched fight scenes too much build up..The villains really make us angry but Rapo Makeover was worst i didnt like it look at all but his scenes were good..Akhanda was my movie of the year 2021 thanks to Balayya acting,Bgm,Songs and Great Directorial by Boyapati..Each frame and dialogues gave us goosebumps with packed dialogues even make enemies stumble..He tried same formula but sorry Rapo it didnt work out well hmm. Please give a proper comeback Rapo and Yes Sreeleela added beauty to movie which was plus..Akhanda 2 must be a comeback for Boyapati..

Boyapati's Paruvu lost and found story where every character, positive or negative screams about it throughout. 2 states CMs are after each other's throat as one's son eloped with the other's daughter. So one has sent men to kill the CM and his, retrieve the daughter in return. Meanwhile, enters Bhaskar Raju with his own mission and at times enters Skanda to kill a bunch. Both of whom are directly targeting the CMs. There is also a businessman accused of murder and his daughter held hostage to force him to stay in prison. How are all these people related and will that paruvu be found infact whose paruvu will be found, forms rest of the story.
It's mindless screenplay and action scenes from the word go with Boyapati giving no respite to his audience. The hero's entry happens late so the supporting characters are introduced first followed by the whole cribbing about losing daughter/paruvu. It simply doesn't make any sense no matter how loud the characters shout in making any sense. It's random set of scenes stitched together without any semblance. It simply gets dragged on till an explosive climax giving a meh twist.
If one hoped for a flashback to make sense which is always the case with all Boyapati films and elevate the stronger lookalike, it is not delivered here. Even if the flashback was silly, there was a chance of saving this mess a little with more clarity to the character of Skanda when he is a lookalike to Bhaskar Raju yet not related to him. Having the film titled as Skanda and not focus the film on this character yet show the arrogance to announce Skanda 2 is nothing but a huge blunder from Boyapati Srinu. There is no point talking about performances, the dialogues too are plain silly and the over the top action scenes lack imagination. Skanda simply ends up as a worst film and that's about it. To be or not to be, says Skanda and one shouldn't wonder why.

Good sense less movie. Skanda The Attacker (transl. Hindu God of War/Son of Lord Shiva) is a 2023 Indian Telugu-language action film directed by Boyapati Srinu and produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen in collaboration with Zee Studios. The film features Ram Pothineni in a dual role, alongside Sreeleela, Saiee Manjrekar, Srikanth, Sharath Lohithaswa, Ajay Purkar, Daggubati Raja and Prince Cecil. Skanda was released on September 28, 2023 to negative reviews and was heavily criticized for its story, olitical satires, direction, lead cast's performances and action stunts. The film grossed 59.20 crore against the budget of 50 crore and became a box-office bomb.

My rating for the storyline of Skanda is 2/10
my rating for the action sequences of Skanda is 6/10
Overall, I would give Skanda a 3/10 rating. While the action sequences were good, the weak and illogical storyline significantly detracted from the overall experience. It seems like a missed opportunity, as the potential for a great movie was there. The director's failure to create a cohesive narrative is a major drawback.
Given the widespread dissatisfaction with the storyline and the overall negative reception, it seems unlikely that we'll see a Skanda 2. It's a shame, as the action sequences showed promise, but a bad first impression can be hard to overcome. Why would anyone invest their time and money in a sequel when the first installment was such a letdown?

The whole movie just feels like a copy of Old movies of Boyapati.
There were many illogical scenes that made me cringe a bit...
WHY SREE LEELA?! She is just an overrated actress at this point...
RAM POTHINENI deserves better script than this trash.
The only good thing about this film was Ram.
THE BAD THINGS : Some of the songs were good, But most of the others were average or just bad.
Some of the scenes were too cringey, The Climax Twist was bad!
Ain't no way I'm gonna watch the Sequel of this film.
The plot felt the same as always.
The BGM was not that good.
SUMMARY: I would rate this movie 4/10 (1/5).
DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM unless you want to torcher yourself for 3 hours.

After watching and thoroughly enjoying S. S. Rajamouli's RRR, I decided that I would try and catch a few more Bollywood action films, a genre that, thus far, I have been relatively unfamiliar with. Luckily, my local cinema shows quite a lot of such films, and so, armed with my Unlimited membership, I have been venturing out into the world of over-the-top Indian action and synchronised dance scenes to try and broaden my knowledge.
Last week it was Jawan, which I thought was a lot of fun, and this week I booked a ticket for Skanda: The Attacker, which also looked hugely entertaining. And it was. The film delivered everything I expected from such a movie: an almost three hour run-time with an interval, impossibly tough heroes with big beards, beautiful women, loads of ridiculous action and slow motion, hair ruffled by wind machines, despicable villains, and amazingly choreographed musical interludes.
The plot sees two corrupt chief ministers frame an honourable businessman for numerous crimes after he refuses to help them launder dirty money, and so the son of the businessman's best friend embarks on a mission to clear the innocent man's name. Love, betrayal, and bravery are the order of the day, with the occasional break for those obligatory vibrant and energetic song and dance numbers. It's formulaic storytelling, which makes it fairly easy for a Bollywood newbie like myself to keep track of things. Only in the closing moments did I get a tad confused, with the introduction of a heroic character who I still haven't a scooby about, but with so much good stuff in the film, I didn't let that spoil my enjoyment.
And as a fan of brutal movie violence, I particularly appreciated the excess of gore in the film, with countless bad guys (and a couple of good ones) despatched in spectacularly bloody fashion. This film puts many a modern horror movie to shame with the amount of bodies beaten, broken, sliced and impaled in the name of entertainment. Perhaps, over time, I will become bored by the Bollywood action format, but for now, colour me entertained. 7.5/10, rounded up to 8 for IMDb.

I have not seen ever any action movie like this. The director is a great man he do very good work in every moment. And our hero work very good. Also Good script and duologue and use a good screen shift.
I will discuss it in two part part one why I give it 9 star ar part 2. Why did not give 1 star
Part one: 1: Use a very good story 2: Use very impressive dialogue 3: The Action clip is equal to siuuuu 4: Hero play a very big and important role so smoothly 5: The heroin also play a smooth role 6: Screen shift us a very impressive work 7: Introducing character is also impressive 8: And the Songs is very impressive work
part two: 1: Something the action clip is so dramatic as look like hero is thor😅 2: The last clip of this movie the anather hero director have to give more story on movie.

Skanda The Attacker is a mass entertainer movie . It has also some emotional and romantic scenes. Without promotion and mixed reviews Ram Potheneni attract us with his mind-blowing action...The worst part of the film is that the bgm doesn't connect with the scenes...Another Plus point of the movie is Sreelela's dancing moves..This Duos energy can't be matched with others ...But in some scenes the movie is stuck ...In some scenes the director added some comedy is another plus point ...The first half is decent but the 2nd half of the movie is mind-blowing...The fighting scenes and Ram Potheneni's acting makes the film watchable for every people...🙂🙂🙂

Best action movie I have ever seen, best dialog's, action and great action thriller and also for family, also comedy, I am waiting for second part, This film making people made for what getting next in movie. Ram goes into beast mode for Skanda. He has bulked up and gives himself totally to Boyapati Sreenu's narrative. Ram justifies his role with his performance. His ease during the action scenes is good to watch.
Loved the movie so much that i couldn't stay till the end of the movie.
Ram anna nd sreeleela are biggest plus for this movie .. No words for Ram anna acting... They both sets screen on fire by their performance... Climax was super nd mind blowing Neverr expected climax by boyapati Usually boyapati movies contain full of action scenes as in this movie the fight actions became biggest plus for Ram anna nd little bit minus for movie as some audience dislikes violence... but boyapati made a great violence with a great music by thaman Ram nd sreeleela killed with their energetic dance
Climax was ended up with a biggest twist which is never expected in boyapati movie ... Should experience this movie in theatres by overall...
Sentiment all over the movie, between father son, father daughter, yawn and sleep
Fights are amazing, each fight lasts for min 1 hour, I felt almost soaked in blood after every fight
And last two fights are ultimate, they lasted for eternity.
Music is the best element, I heard nothing infact, this should be nominated for Oscars or any other award.
Great story
Blockbuster Pakka.

I really appreciate the performance of all actors especially Ram , Sreeleela, Sreekanth and all artists . Cinema starts with political drama , College, Court scenes, Police drama sequences, Village drama, Dance , Action sequences, Fights and Comedy scenes.
Title of movie is apt Skanda , The Attacker ..who attacks and rescues the family with revenge drama sequences between two political persons with software company sequences in real time scenarios with money laundering and other sensitive aspects in recent days . Dance, Fights , mass Dialogues are perfectly delivered. Overall experience with movie is extremely good. All people can watch and enjoy the movie..
