HÉROES (Sin Escape)

I crossed the border and went to Mexicali to see this film specifically for Mexican independence day. As an American with no knowledge of this event I went into the film with no expectations and not knowing what would happen. As someone who likes to watch historical films from different countries I was left a bit disappointed because I felt the historical relevance was very minor. As in this event happened and maybe some of the things your are seeing may of happened we are not sure. You could tell this movie was made on a low budget. The biggest tell was the acting and the some of the little action this film did have, had bad practical effects. Overall the plot was dry and had very little to do with the historical event that they were trying to portray. I wouldn't recommend this film for people who wanted to learn about the historical event, you are 100% better off just reading about it.
