- Childhood friends and business partners, Riley and Quinn, are stuck in an endless loop of drug deals. As Riley aspires for a better life, Quinn is satisfied with the dangerous life they live by. When Riley finally confronts Quinn about the many dangerous possibilities, Quinn lets Riley know she can do it by herself then. Quinn asks Riley the only thing she needs her to do is get some more milk, so Riley leaves Quinn alone in the apartment to continue doing business. On her way back from the corner store she runs into busker, Max Remy, with a large smile on his face and a passion for music. Envious of the happy life he lives, she begins to look down at the life ahead of her. Now ready to talk to Quinn with her newfound outlook, she returns to the apartment to find Quinn being choked on the ground by a client. Quick to defend her, she grabs a knife from the kitchen and threatens the client, demanding for them to leave. After the two nearly escape, Quinn points out that she managed to grab his wallet while he attacked her. Disappointed by her focus, Riley demands they can't keep doing this anymore. Quinn claims they're not 9-5 people, forcing Riley to storm out of the living area into her room. Here she finds a locket box, opening it to find memorabilia from when her and Quinn were a kid: innocent and happy. Riley must now decide if she wants to leave Quinn and pursue her own goals, or stand by her childhood friend's side.
