The movie is a mixture of scripted scenes replaying what (likely) original happened, original footage from this time and recent interviews which comments what has happened in this time.
The movie summaries the creation of what is today known as 'Baden-Württemberg' or formerly known as 'Südwest Staat' after the Second World War. It explain why the one region Baden was mainly against the fusion with his neighbors and what role the other 2 regions and his presidents, the situation of the people at this time and the American and French occupying forces played at this part of the history.
As a (in my view) side story the movie also covers the role of the 'Frauenfunk' which is a special radio program moderated by women and mainly for women, which played in an important role for the situation of women.
My main critic is that this side story feels and probably is a little bit disconnected from the main part.
All in all I found it interesting and entertaining even though I don't live in this area.
Would rate it 7,5.
