So here in 2053 the AI edition of Fealty, still running his empire, assigns three employees--Sam, Jamie, and Emma--to a mission they must complete in ten days. Using his artificial wormhole to virtually time travel, they're to start undoing existential crises (climate, corruption, inequality) in the past--specifically, by changing the trajectories of plutocrats and zealots and grifters in 2023.

The team in 2053 get inside the 2023 minds of a politically influential fossil fuel mogul's mistress and ten-year-old daughter to get them to make him realize his wealth won't let him escape the consequences of the climate catastrophe he's helped bring about.
