For what it's worth it's a pretty good spin on the classic tale. Was really confused at the part where that ugly skunk pulled his cane out and started beating orphans to a bloody pulp, they kinda lost me at that point, but it didn't ruin the experience for me.

I initially was going to say that A Christmas Carol: Scrooge's Ghostly Tale probably looked pretty good when it was released, but then I realized that this computer-animated film came out in 2006. Here's a few other CGI movies that came out BEFORE this one: Toy Story 1 & 2, A Bug's Life, Shrek 1 & 2, Monsters, Inc., Ice Age, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, The Polar Express, Robots, Madagascar, Chicken Little, Hoodwinked!, Cars, Monster House, and Open Season-all of which look MUCH better than this movie. Honestly, it's not a bad adaptation for children, it's just hard to get past the look of it.

A decent to nice adaptation . The only problem, for me, was only the use of CGI who makes artificial , to fake, entire story.
No doubts, good intentions and the idea to use a fable structure for craft A Christmas Carol is far to be bad. But, it works not so...smart in this case, reminding, too much, the modest ( to poor )educational animations for babies .
Unfair, in same measure, to be too critic. Because the spirit of story is faithful respected and the characters are just seductive , like the atmosphere . The end is sweet and careful crafted and you feel the emotion in fair terms, like a good , cold air in Christmas Eve behind the opened window. So, the only problem, why CGI ?
