It had some potential. But then happened what happens in each second french comedy. French people talk too much and babble nearly each gag to death. While that happens, the timing gets lost and then the gags are not really runners. There was exact 1 Joke I had to laugh out loud, and that was an extremely funny scene with a flying coffin. It had some other scenes that made me grin a little. I think that's too less for a comedy, except it has some other qualities.
'Pop Redemption' is what we call a dramedy, a mix of drama and comedy. While the timing of the comedy parts are lame, the drama parts are a little stronger. Although the dramatic parts get stronger in the last third of playtime, they seem completely implausible by acting and storyplay. A recommendation for music fans and people who don't necessarily need a plausible plot.
