This wafer-thin, single dimension movie focuses on Ava, a woman who wakes up one day at home with no memory, her husband telling her she had an accident resulting in a minor head injury. He says the doctors have advised that she needs to rest at home for a few weeks until her condition clears up, but as the days pass, Ava begins to feel something is not quite right.

Unfortunately, from here on out the plot is extremely predictable - you'll probably figure out where it's going, correctly, inside the first 15 minutes. The acting is terrible and if you told me the script was written by an AI chat system, sincerely, I'd believe you.

I mean it's entertaining enough for me to have watched it but the writing seems to have been done by someone with English as a second language and the delivery from the main guy is hilariously wooden. There was a line something like "I like this wine" with reply "yes I thought you would"......that was it, no follow ups? Nope that was the conversation started and finished. Then another bit where she is waiting for someone to come to the apartment....it appears to prompt a montage of sitting and waiting! Just normal sitting and waiting! I will say the main woman sort of saves it, she can clearly act and carries it a bit. It's a bit like if a local movie club bought a camcorder and decided to make a film over a couple of weekends.

I came across Trophy Wife on Amazon Prime Video and I flipping loved it!

It follows the story Ava and Frank after she has had an accident. Things are not as they seem.

I have watched many sci-fi films and they tend to be predictable. It wasn't with this. The story kept me on my toes, I had to find out what the deal was with Ava! Very well done. And that ending! Damn! I did not see that coming. The storyline flowed nicely, I liked all the characters, The lightning was very atmospheric and the sound was crystal clear. I have watched many films where the dialogue is mumbled. The two main leads were so good. I really felt I was watching a real life couple.

Would I watch this film again? Yes! Would I recommend this film. Yes!
